I've just watched a film on this tablet/notebook sent to my TV with a Dell Thunderbolt Dock.  For some reason the Miix runs much cooler than my HP Spectre with the same test.  If anyone wants to use this tablet to send video to a TV I'll include a USB-C "breakout" multiport hub which includes hdmi. ethernet port, 2 USB 3 type A and an sd card slot for free.  Otherwise I would be willing to sell my Thinkpad USB-C Dock DK 1633 (inc 90W PS) for an extra $350. I don't want to sell the TP Dock separately as I use it frequently as a charging point for 65W Power Delivery.

I've replaced the original lightly used SSD with a WD Black 250GB.  Rather disappointingly, although this ssd benchmarks much faster in Samsung Magician, the overall speed increase is unnoticeable.  One advantage though is the excellent ssd support software WD Dashboard.  Anyone who buys this can let me know if they would prefer the original Samsung SSD.

Interesting to compare this tablet/notebook Surface Pro Clone with the recently reviewed OneNetbook T1 on MobileTechReview.  The most significant practical difference that I can see is that the new model does not have a Thunderbolt port "although the platform should support it".

A friend from the University has borrowed this for a project.  I expect it back about December 12th.  When it is returned I'll revert it to the original 250GB SSD as the friend wants to keep the ssd with his data.
