Sinking vessel by the refueling station

Can anyone shed light on the sinking vessel near the fuel depot. It first started sinking during the first typhoon and since then has been steadily sinking further each day despite various attempts by sundry groups.

The ship was abandoned by crew jumping and swimming for their lives in the first typhoon, then secured to pier by expats (not the officialdom standing by). Some of us in Twilight tried to instigate action to avoid oilspill on the Saturday after the first typhoon..I was interviewed by SCMP and small paragraph in there by that night. We called Marine Dept, HKR and police and there have been dozens of visits by their boats, ringing of it by booms (not done till DURING the second typhoon). More sinking culminated in a whole night and day's 'work' on it ending yesterday where presumably the oil tanks were pumped out as the water within boom was dark. Unfortunately after they left a smallish oil slick spilled out. Still appears to be sinking more but visits continue so perhaps salvage will happen soon?

Yes I saw the whole thing from Vista Court and have been watching ever since it seems to be a comedy of errors by all involved. The vessel seems to be getting lower in the water every day. Maybe HKR can use it as a tourist attraction and offer diving visits once it is totally submerged!

Haha, yes maybe! It doesn't seem to be short of visitors already, albeit they are in orange suits. I am worried about further contamination though as the water within boom area looks polluted..

Show the sunken ship with oil within boom; and trail of oil spill after it was pumped out (?)

My husband reckons the many-times-daily visits from Marine staff are to sprinkle detergent around edges of boom in an effort to disperse oil. However it keeps leaking more as can be seen in this pic from today

This article (which I was interviewed for) sums it up well:
