Threats against Dogs and Owners

First time contributor please excuse any poor posting etiquette. There has been a recent real threat to at least one flat owner in Greenbelt Court by way of a badly printed cartoon showing a silhouette of a dog having a poo then a + road type sign sign overlaying a human figure cleaning up the dog mess = a dead dog. Meaning if you do not clean up the mess your dog is dead. This was placed into their letter box. Very creative and obviously from someone whose a little annoyed at seeing dog mess. I'm sure that there isn't anyone who likes to see dog mess on the ground. As a responsible dog owner I will watch my dog all of the time when out walking and clean up it's mess without exception and happily remonstrate with any other dog owner or walker that can't be bothered to do the same with their dog. However a threat to kill an animal is one step away from that individual taking inappropriate action against a noisy child or someone who is too slow to move out of their way. Most Police forces treat an attack on an animal as one step away to an attack on a human. Ironically it's not the dog at fault it's the human who is too lazy to pick up the dog mess! To overtly threaten someone is not an acceptable response in a modern and supposedly civilized society and should be shunned by all. This matter has already been reported to the Police and Management, hopefully they will have CCTV footage of the individual in question and action will be taken before this person can take any further steps and get the counselling help they obviously need. If anyone has information on who this individual who makes such threats is, please add to this thread. Thank you.

Has the person who received this threat reported it to the police?

The threat to kill a pet should not be taken lightly because there have been several cases of such in Hong Kong.

The penalty for harming or poisoning an animal is $200,000 HKD and 3 year imprisonment.
