HK broadband internet service is amongst the cheapest in the world. Sadly no one is really interested unless you are willing to sign up for a two year contract. Most of the agents are contractors trying to make ends on two year contract commissions.
HKBN used to promote a 100 MB service for just under 200 HKD per month with no contract.
A couple of options , not the best:
1. Get one of the mobile network based wireless router packages , they sell them at the airport on short time basis. 3HK/PCCW/Smartone may have bit better deals if you walk into their shops. Good enough for basic web browsing, emails, etc... most likely not enough for high definition video streaming.
2. Sign up for 2 years, then take the equipment back when you are leaving, change your credit card (report it lost) and they will not be able to take any more payments out. No one will look for you around the world however this assumes you will not be coming back to HK wanting o get another contract again.
Finally, as JojoS suggested, offer your next door neighbour to go halves on their service, given the proximity of appartments in HK you will not even need any repeaters as long as they share the wifi password with you.
Last but not least, come down to the plaza. Free Wifi, whe it works
