Chopper in the hills at night

It's close to 11 pm Friday night, and there's a chopper doing slow circles of the hills across from Parkridge, with powerful searchlights. It did a few circles, then stayed in one place for maybe 10 minutes, and seems to have finally gone. Wonder who/ what they're looking for this time of night.  Roll Eyes

Edited to add: It hasn't gone. It's still out there, coming back around the hill.

Maybe another big profile burglary in Seabee or Headland?

Ah, no, if it's the hills with the hiking trail... no idea. Hope it's nothing bad.

They were searching for some-one or something and are now guiding the people on the ground who have flash-lights. If it's a person I hope they will be Okay. Cry

Yes, these are the hills with the hiking trail. I'm sure something will trickle out through the grapevine eventually.

I don't know if this is the same or if it's a different incident but Around DB reported December 8 (dated 2 days ago) that a 60 year old man was found dead on Lantau's hiking trail after phoning his family around 6:30 pm to tell them he was lost.

The man was from Sham Shui Po and hiked alone.

The article doesn't mentioned where the body was found nor does it mention about helicopters in DB.

http://www.arounddb.com/articles/news/45624-hiker-found-dead-on-lantau-after-get...

Edit: OK, it's unrelated. The above incident occurred 3 days before last night. The 60 year old was reported missing December 7, search and rescue found his body December 8 the next morning at 10am on Por Kai Shan (婆髻山) near Tung Chung.

So no news yet.
