I saw something on Shelia from LAP FB site about a dog found by the SINOPEC petrol station in Tung Chung. The photo shows a dog with a purple collar. Her phone number is 64771492. I hope it is your dog.

Going to Sha Tin AFCD at the crack of dawn tomorrow.

So glad it was your dog.

I was hoping someone else would have seen the FB page or would send you a text with Sheila's details as I am overseas and couldn't do it and I was worried you wouldn't see the message until it was too late.

Great news.

Finally Mummi is back home!!!!
Thankyou to Shelia from LAP animal protection in Lamma,
Cheryl from SPCA
For Jacqui from PALS who made Sha Tin AFCD hand her over, making so many call's, fax's, etc etc.....
Celina who picked Mummi up and had the good sense to put her on hold at Sha Tin AFCD, without this after 4 days she would have been put down.
Big Thankyou to the person who posted her picture on this site, without this I'm sure I would never have found her, as I never expected her to be in Sha Tin and the AFCD do not link up any  inquires about missing dogs from AFCD to AFCD.
Finally huge Thankyou to everyone who was on stand by to help if we could'nt resolve this problem.
My goodness Mummi has so many people looking our for her in high places, not bad for a village dog!!

Cheers everyone you are Angels.

Thank goodness for the internet!! Scary to think she would have been put down if not for being able to transmit the information and her picture so promptly through the net!

Am very happy to hear that you have been united.

Aren't all dogs supposed to be chipped so that they can be reunited with their owner if lost?

I once inquired about this, L&T - that if a dog is chipped, are they more likely to be identified and reunited with their owner.

Was told that the only time the authorities actually check the microchip is if the dog has bitten anyone, and they check to see if the rabies shots are up to date. They don't bother to check the chip to trace the owner if the dog is lost.  Sad

Hi BC - interesting and appalling at the same time.  How gut-wrenching it would be to know you'd followed the rule of the law with the micro-chipping and vaccinations and your dog, if picked up, could be destroyed within four days if incarcerated at AFCD.

Thank goodness we won't have that problem with our boys as they know a good thing when they see it and would never leave us Wink
